The 2025-26 UEFA Champions League, league phase, reaches the halfway mark this week with all of the clubs trying to position themselves better in the standings before the international break. On Tuesday we have nine matches, including PSG vs Bayern Munich, Liverpool vs Real Madrid, and Juventus vs Sporting CP which is previewed here.
Bayern Munich at PSG
No team in world football matches the form of Bayern Munich, the German giants lost to PSG 2-0 at the 2025 Club World Cup (after winning the previous UCL meetings in 2023 and 2024). Harry Kane and company would love to serve up some revenge, as these two teams currently top the UCL table on 9 points each. Simultaneously, PSG and Bayern both lead their domestic leagues, though PSG has more competition at the moment.
The likelihood of both teams advancing in a top 8 place from the league phase is relatively high, but someone will lose their perfect record here in the PSG vs Bayern Munich game. PSG sees the return of Ousmane Dembele, alongside Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, they will be launching attacks, while Bayern has the trusted trio of Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, and Kane to counter right back. Goals should be expected, and despite being the away team, Bayern Munich look almost flawless this season under Vincent Kompany. Prediction: Bayern Munich 4 PSG 2
Eintracht Frankfurt at Napoli
Napoli have been without defeat for three matches, and at home look to be in decent form to face an inconsistent Frankfurt side. Both teams have shown they know how to find the back of the net, but defending is more questionable. Frankfurt are 6th in the Bundesliga and there’s nothing impressive to say about their play this campaign. Napoli will miss Kevin De Bruyne with a long term injury, Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund are back however. Hojlund’s brother plays for Frankfurt but isn’t currently fit. In other names from the past, Mario Gotze should start for Frankfurt. Napoli under Antonio Conte play quality football and should be able to win at home. Prediction: Napoli 2 Frankfurt 1
PSV at Olympiacos
A winless Olympiacos desperately needs this home win, PSV has won their last five games across competitions. Mehdi Taremi is coming into a bit of form when Olympiacos needs him most, PSV only misses the services of Ruben van Bommel. PSV are likely to concede a goal, but the veteran presence of players like Ivan Perisic steadies this squad, PSV can very much end this match with three points despite the hostile atmosphere. Prediction: PSV 3 Olympiacos 2
AS Monaco at Bodo/Glimt
Monaco grinded out a boring draw with Tottenham in their last outing, Bodo/Glimt looks to use their home fortress to secure a first match win in the Champions League. Monaco suffered defeat at the weekend to Paris FC, Bodo/Glimt suffered the same disappointing fate. Without Eric Dier, Paul Pogba, and other first choice players, this Monaco lineup is weaker than it otherwise would be. Flo Balogun the US MNT’s player is a key striker. AS Monaco has enough to get on the board, but Bodo/Glimt should be able to match them. Prediction: 2-2 Draw
Arsenal at Slavia Prague
Arsenal leads the Premier League and have enjoyed a perfect start to the Champions League. A visit to Prague appears unlikely to trip them up, but nothing can be taken for granted on a European night. The focus on set pieces and the new attack for Arsenal is humming as Arsenal have nine wins a row. Praha are a disciplined side, they don’t concede easily, but the talent gap is noticeable here as even Arsenal’s bench would be more financially valuable than Slavia’s best XI. The Dane Christian Norgaard may get the start for Arsenal, while Victor Gyokeres and Gabriel Martinelli are in doubt.
Slavia Prague has a long injury list, including captain Jan Boril, ultimately, Arsenal looks poised to end this match early, they just need one break through. Prediction: Arsenal 4 Slavia Prague 0
